When Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) was accessible in India, Krafton and outside organizers held several competitions. The country's esports scene has been thriving since 2nd June 2021 till date. There were several nail-biting competitions with huge prize pools and record viewership. Here are the top five BGMI tournaments to date.

1.)Battlegrounds Mobile Pro Series (BMPS) – Season 1

With a prize pool of $256K (about 2 crores), this was the largest BGMI event ever. The top 24 teams from the BMPS competed in the three-week competition, with the top 16 moving on to the Grand Finals. Team Soul, a fan favorite, took home the trophy, the $99.2K (75 lakhs) in total prize money, and a seat in the 2022 PUBG Mobile World Invitational (PMWI).

Goblin, who significantly contributed to his team's triumph, won the MVP prize in addition to the fan favorite and Rampage Freak individual awards.
Enigma and Global Esports placed third and fourth, respectively, behind esports in second place.

2.)Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2021

The first significant open-to-all BGMI esports competition, known as BGIS 2021, took place from 4 December 2021 to 16 January 2022. The $135K (about 1 crore) prize fund for the event was enormous. Skylightz Gaming won the first big Battlegrounds Mobile India competition after defeating several seasoned teams thanks to some outstanding plays. TSM, Team XO, and GodLike finished in second, third, and fourth place, respectively, following a gripping competition between 16 finalists over four days and 24 matches. The winner of the competition was Godl Neyo.

After the top three teams failed to turn in their documents by the deadline, GodLike was forced to compete in the PMGC Finals as well. With a peak audience of more than 460K people, BGIS 2021 was also a popular event.

3.)Nodwin BGMI Masters Series

From June 24 to July 17, a one-month LAN event was hosted in Delhi NCR with 24 invited Indian teams participating. The entire competition was also broadcast on Star Sports for the first time in Indian esports. Additionally, it included a sizable prize pool worth about $190K (about 1.5 crores).

Following an exciting climax, Global Esports was awarded the trophy, $33.3K (about 26.6 lakhs), and a Hyundai Venue automobile. GodLike also put on several standout performances, but they dropped to second place as a result of some errors in the last few games. After continually putting forth a strong effort in the Grand Finals, Orangutan won third place.

4.)BGMI - Launch Party

In July 2021, Krafton held its first tournament, dubbed "The Launch Party," with professional gamers and well-known streamers to commemorate the debut of BGMI. It now has more than 540K concurrent watchers, making it the BGMI event with the highest viewership. The victors, Team Snax (Daljit, Kratos, Attanki, and Snax), took home a monetary reward of $4.4K (3.3 lakhs). Team Kronten and Team Ronak received $2K and $1.3K in prize money for placing second and third, respectively.

5.)Skyesports BGMI Championship 3.0

Popular third-party promoter Skyesports held this unauthorized competition online between August 21 and September 12, 2021. With a $35K (26 lakhs) total prize fund, the competition included both underdogs and seasoned teams. Views of the event peaked at around 221K.

GodLike Esports won the Championship and received $16.3K (12 lakhs) in prize money after dominating the seven-day Grand Final. Jonathan received the $15,000 MVP prize. 7Sea Esports took the second spot and won a $6.7K (₹5 lakhs) cash award, while 8Bit Esports grabbed the third position.

Despite being an unofficial tournament, it featured many interesting moments, especially during the 42 matches in the Grand Finals.
